1) Start your day with a glass of hot water and lemon juice. It will clean out your system.
2) Avoid caffeine at breakfast. Eat porridge or muesli with yoghurt or an egg with some multi-grain bread.
3) For lunch, have a leafy salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce with a dash of olive oil. Eat a portion (palm-size) of brown rice + 1 millet roti + 1 portion veggies + 1 portion of lentils ( chickpeas, kidney beans). A piece of pan-fried or grilled chicken is good too.
4) Snack on some hummus with carrot sticks + a handful of almonds, walnuts, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. Juice works too, go for mixed vegetables or fruits or sip on a cup of green tea.
5) For the last meal of the day, enjoy lean meats like steamed fish fillet/chicken steak and a generous helping of veggies. Say no to red meat.
