Can These Star Kids Play Their Parents’ Successful Roles Better?

Unknown - 02:15

On one hand, Bollywood comes under accusations of propagating nepotism.  On the other hand, there are claims that star kids don’t really have it easy. They are constantly under the media gaze. Sure, it comes with the job but in addition to the paparazzi drama, there’s also the constant comparison. Yes, star kids are often compared with their parent(s). Which is not fair because it isn’t a given that they’ll be as successful or as talented as their parents. Still, we are sure watching star kids reprise their parents’ role is just as much a treat for us, as it is for their parents. We wondered if these star kids will be able to do a better job if ever there’s a remake of these classic films.

Aryan Khan as Raj Malhotra from DDLJ

Do you think Aryan can play the romantic ‘Raj’ better?

Harshvardhan Kapoor as Arun Verma from Mr. India

Will Harshvardhan be able to give us a more charismatic Mr. India?

Jhanvi Kapoor as Manju from ChaalBaaz

Sri Devi was splendid in ChaalBaaz. Can Jhanvi out-do her mother?

Sara Ali Khan as Roma (Dingy) from Betaab

It was one of Amrita Singh‘s earlier roles. We’d love to see if Sara can play the snobbish Roma to perfection.

Karan Deol as Tara Singh from Gadar: Ek Prem Katha

Sunny Deol‘s bravery and innocence as Tara Singh won hearts. Can Karan replicate the bold Sardar from Gadar?

Tiger Shroff as Jackie Dada / Jaikishan from Hero

Jackie Dada in Hero was an instant hit. Can Tiger Shroff fill his father’s shoes?

Abhishek Bachchan as Vijay Verma from Deewaar

Will Abhishek Bachchan be able to play Amitabh Bachchan‘s character in Deewaar?

Ranbir Kapoor as Raj from Bobby

Can the chocolate boy of 2000s play the chocolate boy of 1960s?

Shahid Kapoor as Mussadi Lal from Office Office

Shahid has played a brilliant roles. But does he have it in him to play father Pankaj Kapur‘s role from Office office?

Sunny Deol as Veeru from Sholay

Dharmendra is counted as one of the gems of Indian cinema and Sunny Deol is an astounding actor in his own right. But can he do justice to the iconic role from Sholay?

What do you think, can these star kids do justice to their parents’ roles?
