The Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon (SCMM) has never been just about running and winning, and its 13th edition, held on Sunday, was no different. The 40,000-odd participants had SCMM ambassador John Abraham and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis cheering for them, got to rub shoulders with sports personalities, business tycoons, Bollywood stars – like Katrina Kaif (who flagged off the Dream Run) – were in for treats like foot massages and music performances on the Jabong stage. For participants of the Dream Run, Jabong laid out an orange carpet, had Nashik dhol performers cheering them on the last leg and handed out cash prizes over a lakh for the best costumes.
