Let the Sweetness Arise…

Unknown - 06:41

  1. SweetnessRemember Aman Mathur of Kal Ho Naa Ho? Who can dare to forget that loving character from an epic blockbuster movie? Suno, Jiyo, Khush Raho, Muskurayo……Kya Paata…Kal Ho Naa Ho. Aman turned a boring, brooding locality into a colorful one. He converted a debt burdened restaurant into a profitable one. He framed a scrappy family into a united one. He did all those impossible tasks with sweetness, politeness, and calmness.

  2. Think a bit more….. We always end our lunch and dinner meal with a dessert. Why so in the end? Why not only sweets and desserts? Why not in the beginning? It also has some ancient ideology. See in our daily lives, we have to meet, greet, and treat too many people belonging to various grounds. We have to bear with sour, sly, timid, brave, rich, poor, people. Some will make you happy and some will make you cry, some will please you and some will make you anxious. So you cannot keep wrangling with the bad ones, you have to move on. That’s why sweets are served in the end so that you forget all other tastes and remain grounded, balanced, and optimistic.

  3. Ask any random guy – what kind of a girl you would want to marry? The answers of most of them would be – a sweet looking girl who can tackle all domestic chores. People may talk about the dashing modern girl living in the next door apartment who applies a lot of make-up, and wears short skirts but in the end want the sweeter girl to adorn their home. Because sweetness knows the ways to make everything just perfect.

  4. While strolling in the nearby park, noticing the little girl playing with her little puppy or the little boy who is toddling with his mom – what is your random expression? Of course you say – “Ohh so sweet” (Sweetness in the word sweet is an extended one!) and you start smiling without even knowing that you are smiling. We all were sweet sometime back and then when life started happening to us, we tend to have lost our inner sweetness.

These were just some examples of sweet gestures. Google defines sweetness in the following words: “Sweetness is one of the five basic tastes and is universally regarded as a pleasurable experience”. It is one of the five basic tastes but without any competition from anyone as it’s always a winner.

If you are thinking that your sweetness has taken a backseat, it’s high time to call it back and be more popular among your people. You can try these ideas mentioned below:

  1. Ask yourself which is your favorite sweet dish. Taking the kitchen into a storm prepare it on your own to give it to someone whom you have reprimanded a few years, months, or days ago. That person would not only forgive you but would start understanding the reason of that sudden outburst.

  2. Living alone in a city and down with high fever – still has to attend office as your managers think you are as good and fit as a robot. What would be your instant reaction to that? Either you would be very angry with red face or you would cry and say “Mom, I am missing you”. Take a Majjhima Nikaya instead and go out to have ice-cream. Also treat some street children if you notice them. All your tension would just vanish.

  3. You just got to know that a very old school friend has delivered a baby boy in Hyderabad. She was your first best friend, who always shared her lunchbox with you. Send flowers to Hyderabad along with some toys for her first kid. She would be overjoyed with your gesture and motive.

  4. You may know someone who really hates you for some xyz reasons and therefore always poses an obstacle in your way with his/her intrinsic skills. What to do? See if you would turn rude and sour and start treating that person the same way he does, what would be the difference between you two? Of course you don’t fall in his/her category. Surely you have seen and applauded Lage Raho Munna Bhai, then apply that Munna Bhai trick to yourself. Send flowers to that person until the time he/she comes up to you and explain the reason for bitter behavior.

There would always be people to bring you down but remaining calm and sweet in these situations would make a difference. To be sweet to others, you have to bring sweetness in your inner self and that is possible only with a shift in your thinking. That’s what I can call a real sweet gesture. With your sweet attitude, you would run a long race and that too without enemies. If we look into the lives of great men who walked the earth, we would find one common thread – and that is definitely their attitude towards every situation. They all were able to handle challenges and win over them just because their behavior and attitude were sweet.

People say about sweet tooth, I would say, conquer the world with sweet shoes.

Lovelier than ever!

Unknown - 06:22

love-hearts

People say that love fades with time. Well, I have seen my granny and grandpa they have been together for the last 80 years and the love seem to have grown over the years. I like to see my granny, waking up every morning and getting ready to look the best for my grandpa.

The moment I see her I don’t see those wrinkles on her face which seem to have made her seem old, rather I see that young love that has seemed to make her face glow.

Almost everything about them, starting from the morning cup of tea which is usually followed by some lighted-hearted jokes, pulling each other legs and small conversations about cricket and politics which is usually my grandpa’s favourite topic to discuss.

Although, my granny has little or practically no knowledge about the same but just because she loved my grandpa so much so she participated actively. It always made me wonder whether love is all about liking each other’s choices, well if that holds true then it certainly wasn’t true in my granny’s case.

After, my close observation of my favourite couple, I understood one thing very clearly that old age is the best time to test love. You know and understand the individual in and out and get used to their shortcomings too which makes love so much stronger and it is no longer about physical appearances, each other likings, choices and preferences. It is just about getting used to each other and so has my granny and grandpa has got used to having each other by their side.

I think this is love, that no matter whatever happens but you still like the same person. So this Valentine’s Day, I have decided to send valentine’s gift to my granny on my grandpa’s behalf. I hope she will like it and maybe their love will step up to a whole new different level.

Save The New Year!

Unknown - 21:46

It’s the first month of the year and you must be full of hopes and goals to achieve this year. As per the experts, this month might turn out to be a bad one if you try very hard to change your life. There are thousands of people who resolve to do a lot of things like lose weight, control habits, change jobs, set deadlines and plan marriage. They set a huge number of ‘to-do’ things that their lives lose lustre in the way somewhere…

Making resolutions and setting professional goals is not bad at all but having them on your mind all the time can be injurious to your happiness and peace of mind! You must not forget the fact that things do fall in place in the right time. I do not advice to have a laid back attitude towards your dreams but worrying all the time will also get you there. You must plan and plan wisely. Finding time for yourself is equally important. Since the year has just begun and you must be in a festive and party mood, I stop myself from preaching too much!
Let’s get straight to the point and talk about how you can get things in place conveniently without getting your personal space in danger.

1. Make your goals actionable. If you resolve to be promoted at work in 2016, you may be setting your sights too high. The best way to make a high-level goal a reality is to focus on the specific steps that you need to take to reach that goal. For an instance, to be promoted in this year, you may need to focus on becoming a better writer, volunteer for three new assignments, and mentor a junior-level employee. Promotions don’t come easy and you must be ready to set yourself on the ‘work-hard’ mode for that!

2. Hold yourself accountable. One great way to meeting your goals at work is to make them known to your managers. Managers can provide valuable insights into how to gain visibility at work, and it is important that they know your career goals so they can provide tips on how to reach them. Trust me, they aren’t the monsters you think!
That’s it! Overwhelming you with advices in the beginning of the year is simply not my plan, but I do wish you all the luck and success in the year ahead.

Capturing fleeting moments of another Year…!

Unknown - 00:46

Gain-Loss, Love-Hate, Rise-Fall….
The fragmented list goes on and on
Memories of light and shadow smears me to a land unknown
And it leaves me alone with a quenched soul

Time is calculated among us as year, month, week, day, hour, minute, second, and Nano second. We give so much preference to time and its sub-parts that sometimes we just forget the magic of life. Every second is precious and it really passes with a magic spell. Once a year ends, I love to take a flashback of it, rounding up which I paraphrase that I really survived another year with aches & burns in one hand and joy and pride in another. I feel like a victor as I was able to handle all that life made me witness. This shows that everything works in balance and you cannot escape this poise.

So another year has just passed and you are in a different chapter now. Generally, people party hard on a 31st December night to forget the past regrets and welcome the New Year with new vigor. And then they indulge into New Year Resolutions which work or not I don’t know as this vagabond soul never ever planned anything in life. This is basically everyone’s same old story.

Aren’t you all tired of the same routine? The same parties with old and new people, the same boozing sessions, the same oath taking, the same mad dance at 12 midnight!!!

How many of you have actually reviewed your deeds of the past year 2015? I am 100% sure that all you folks can manage to remember is your 31st December night last year, some important dates of promotion or engagement-marriage, and similar type of events. Is that all in the name of happiness? What I intend to say here is – happiness is calculated in these areas only, and rest part of the year was either full of complaints or ignorance.

  1. Don’t you remember that unknown face in the metro who saved your unzipped bag with important stuffs from falling down just before the doors closed?

  2. Are you sentient of the fact that the next door aunty had to postpone her prayer hours as she dislikes the rock music played by you which is noise to her?

  3. Do you remember the day when you had a good scolding from your manager for deleting one important file? The vagrant boy of your area pulled it from your laptop with minimal effort as he is a genius.

  4. Do you remember those chilly winter mornings when you woke up the rickshaw driver from his peaceful sleep so that he can take you to your destination?

  5. Of course you don’t even know that mysterious flute player of Dilli-Haat, who played a piece of soothing music from a childhood favorite movie and made you recall your school friends. You called up many of your old buddies after that and planned numerous get together!

  6. The ageing maid sustained many rainy days with a torn umbrella and reached fully drenched at your place just to make soft chapatis for your dinner. May be you don’t even know which bus she has to take to commute!

  7. Your mom woke up at 4 in a Sunday morning to cook meal for you and your friends so that you can have an enjoyable Sunday picnic.

I have just made a list of 7 normal occurrences which happen to us day in and day out but we don’t notice them. Just pause for a moment amidst the buzzing party and really remember these small incidents of your daily life and say a “THANK YOU” and “SORRY” as per the situation – at least in your mind. If possible send New Year Gifts to those people whom you are thankful for contributing to a successful 2015. That I would call a perfect bid adieu to 2015.

These kinds of tiny episodes do teach us a lot about ourselves, our nature, greed, tolerance, etc. which in a long run shapes our whole character. In fact the fun would be greater if you can maintain a journal of the happenings of each and every day of the 365 days journey of a year. In the year-end, while scrolling through the pages, you would find many such events which have made you a better person. Many faces would crowd in your memory who donated a bit of themselves in your road. You would then hardly require anyone to commemorate a new year as your room is fully stuck with the facades from memory-land.

Personally, I would like to thank one of my dearest friends who abetted me to transform my house into a loving home. The morning tea-breakfast, lunch, evening tea, dinner, countless boozing sessions with non-stop arguments as well as silent talks with that person chiseled me a lot. I wonder my solitude would have missed a lot of themes without this person. I am grateful to you and wish all the true happiness for you.

So now, tell me, how many of you are thinking and thanking the last year for making you encounter such wonderful experiences? Remember some more and give a standing ovation with a big smile to say BID ADIEU 2015.

Broken resolutions

Unknown - 00:58

broken resolutions

The onset of the deadly date (31st December) calls for a task that remains incomplete for days to come. The days stretch to months and months stretch to another year. This task is fondly known as “resolutions”. Since we started putting two and two together, it was drilled in our mind that resolutions are the door to a “New Year New You” campaign.

Here’s to the most popular New Year resolutions that never made it past 20th January:

  1. Studying and coming first in class

This was the sequel to “Santa gifts only good girls and boys”. If Santa forgot to gift you, you immediately took upon the task of writing impossible resolutions. To make it past the month of January, you would paste the resolution list on the refrigerator and closet.

  1. Losing weight

A task that starts after gorging on everything edible at the New Year party and ends up with gaining another kg at office party. You complete a full circle and realize this task is impossible to finish and leave it for next year’s list.

  1. Learning time management

The need for time management begins when you snooze your alarm three times only to realize you are already late for office. Things at office aren’t smooth either, you forget to make the presentation on time and hence the task of “learning time management” rises out of the burial grounds of your worth ethics.

  1. No more partying

All because it’s time to focus on your career and settle down. With the amount of lecture you get from your parents, you decide to give a gift of “no more parties” to them. This of course won’t be viable for more than a week.

  1. Being nice to the neighbour

No matter how many times their pet “freshens” up your garden, it is always important to Love Thy Neighbour. It’s time to start being nice to your neighbour who tolerated your “I am a rock guitarist” phase.

Distance apart may be but I live only for you

Unknown - 01:29

 love_knows_no_boundaries

Divya: This is such a wonderful place Rishi, see those twinkling stars in the sky – they seem like the lit up candles, the soft lush green grass seems like Malmal carpet, and the soothing breeze cooling us is no less than the A.C. in our home.

Rishi: Stop behaving like a Yash Chopra heroine. When you feel hungry, eat those soft grass, when you need clothes tailor it out of those twinkling stars, and when you feel cold wear this cool soothing breeze.

Divya (frowning and walking from there): Stop behaving such a snob!!  If you cannot enjoy a holiday in Kasauli, remain in your office box.

Suddenly, a big black giant comes from behind the bushes and picks Rishi up by his collar……..Divya shouts out loud and Rishi is pleading for life.

Divya finally wakes up with all sweaty hand and legs and a panic-stricken face. Her phone rings up and guess what, it’s Rishi from London. After she is done with narrating her nightmare, Rishi had a good laugh on the same saying that only dreams come true not nightmares because we human love to believe in our dreams and not incubuses.

Naturally, people dream what actually rules their subconscious mind all through the day. The dream narrated above may be anyone’s common story when a part of you stays miles away from you and you are concerned about that person all the day long. We humans are so attached to all our loved ones that we always live in a fear of losing them. It’s a part and parcel of unconditional love. A best buddy of mine keeps on saying, “All these moh-maya should be shed to become a great person”. But I say, when you are in love, these moh-maya keeps you connected no matter wherever your loved one resides.

We have so much to learn from all the greatest of great love stories ever formulated on this earth.

  1. Talk of Lord Krishna and Radha story: they could not live together even staying in the same city, but their name is still spelt together exemplifying pure love. Love is all that matters hence that small distance made bigger never counted.

  2. Take name of Veer-Zaara of a Yash Chopra classic. Their love was torn apart in the name of religion and they distanced from each other to keep up the dignity of family and country. But the end result was togetherness.

  3. Remember the great sufi singer named Meerabai. She just heard stories of Lord Krishna and fell in such deep love that she devoted her whole life in his name. Distance of generations and time is vital here. But ignoring all that, only love mattered to her being.

Old people say that whenever you are in a dilemma, go back to ancient times and study Puranas, fables, and epic stories, and you would find a direction to your obstacle. Truer than true is when love matters distance is nothing to bother about. So whenever your mind is stricken with anxiety for that person, don’t think that he/she is planning to leave you. Instead, dream of your togetherness so clearly, religiously, and passionately that you actually make that dream come true in front of your eyes. Distance is just another way of measuring your love. It’s almighty’s fire test for you which you have to pass with flying colors to be with the person of your dream.

Don’t get furious when that person is not picking up your call. Always remember that he/she is also fighting a battle to win you. That person is also witnessing the same distance factor which is tearing you apart. So be patient and understanding and paint the new home, do everything that makes you happy. Because once you start feeling good, these geographical factors won’t upset you. My personal experience say that love increases manifold when you have that distance factor between you two. Because that’s the opportunity when you can actually keep surprises ready: like sending New Year range gifts or sending flowers internationally. After a long gap when you two meet, the thrill is inexplicable.

Celebrate the Love in Distance
Celebrate the Road of Distance
Celebrate the Life of Distance
And when passersby ask of your Distant Love, Show him the milestones of the Love-Road you have travelled!!!

Cakelicious Monday

Unknown - 20:37

Cake Image

My Monday’s are usually marked with a lot of brooding and brooding and some more brooding. For me ‘Mondays’ are like dementors from Harry Potter. I tried hard to let them go but I simply couldn’t come to terms with Mondays. Everything from listening to peppy music to sleeping and reading motivational books but nothing seemed to have helped me so far. Until one day when one of my friend took the matter seriously and had baked a cake for me and brought it on a Monday to swipe off my Monday blues. There was something truly magical in the taste of the cake that I started feeling happy once again.

Since that day onwards my friend had found the perfect remedy to fight my Monday blues with a piece of chocolate cake. I changed jobs, switched places but know one thing for sure that it is the Cakelicious Mondays are always the best for me. I own a company now and have made it a point to treat all my employees with delectable cakes of different flavors to all my employees. It keeps them happy and as an extra bonanza of delight allows them to work with greater enthusiasm.

However, baking a cake was not always possible so I prefer an online cake delivery in Delhi which is equally fresh and comes with mouth-watery taste too. If you are a hard core vegan then you can also go for eggless cakes which comes with a fabulous taste too. So, if any of you is suffering from Monday blues, it is time to treat yourself with a bite sized cake which is sure to wipe off all the sadness and bring a gorgeous smile on your face. So when are you placing your order of your favorite cake. Enjoy your ‘Cakelicious Monday’

Merry Christmas

Unknown - 02:56

christmas

So, the day has finally arrived when festivities are bound to get in the highest of spirits. You’ve been celebrating your favourite Christmas day since childhood in the most fanciest of ways. Tree decoration, lighting up the house, preparations for the cake, good food and the presence of your loved ones, combine to carve memories which you adore and cherish the entire year.

Decoration is the best part of the festival which brings in the most creative part of you in form. Christmas is the day when your house breathes the most beautiful and soothing ambience. From lights to flowers to paper strips to all the glitter that you can add to the walls make it look gorgeous. And when the guests praise your sense of perfect decoration, it is always the best feeling. The practice of decking up the living space not only make the house look beautiful but also adds to the feeling of togetherness, since you get to spend time with your people.

Visiting your neighbours, relatives and friends which you usually don’t find time to meet, brings in the amazing joy of accord and association. Right from the morning when children in the house run out of the beds to see their gifts till the end of the festive supper, the spirits never seem to get low for even a moment.

Since the day is already here, I hope it is going well and fancy, exactly the way you planned! Praying for peace and happiness in your lives, I sign off with wishing you all a wonderful and merry Christmas!

Let it Shine…

Christmas-Decorations

Lights! Camera! And Action, Christmas is here and It is time to turn all the empty spaces into winter wonderland. Every Christmas I like to throw winter-time party which reflects the beauty of the season. I was trying to look for some affordable decorations which can transform my home into a Christmas paradise. My thinking tanks started working hard and I feel for the most obvious one, lights! I thought that lights will work wonders for my Christmas decoration. So I picked up lights which I and my cousin started hanging all around the house. Lights not only brighten up your house but also gives a festive feel.

Christmas tree is a centrepiece for all Christmas occasion. Instead of going in for the usual Christmas tree, I thought it is best to give a spin to my Christmas decoration so I went shopping for white Christmas tree or a faux one because I believed that brightly colored decorations will stand-out on white Christmas tree. I went out shopping for some brilliant Christmas decorations along with the faux Christmas tree. I bought some brilliantly colored baubles and stars which I have been using since my childhood to make the tree look merrier. The best thing that I like about Christmas is that it somehow connects you to the entire family. All my cousins felt that Christmas is a brilliant opportunity to showcase your creative talent, therefore, they thought of going that extra mile by cutting several snowman on a felt sheet and sketched cute little snowman which were later pinned to the Christmas tree.

The festive feel will not be complete without the traditional Plum Cake. Baking a cake involves a lot of work which will surely steal the time which I would otherwise like to spend with my family. So, I thought of ordering a Plum cake which reached on time and added both fun and enjoyment to my celebration mood. I snuggled up tight with my family and friends and was all set waiting for the Santa to surprise me with a Christmas gift.

Jingle Bells…

Unknown - 22:24

Christmas-jingle-bells-decoration-with-holly-ribbon-mistletoe-new-unique-ideas-photos-images-wallpapers

The chilly air of December brings a heart-warming festival that’s celebrated with a lot of fervor worldwide. Christmas has always been not only a sacred religious holiday but also a worldwide cultural celebration. People all around the world have been observing Christmas with traditions and customs that are not only religious but also secular in nature. The religious reason for Christmas celebration is the birth of Lord Jesus, who was a spiritual leader on whose teachings, the Christian religion is based. Custom of exchanging gifts, decorating Christmas trees, singing carols and of course putting milk and cookies for Santa Claus is what makes Christmas.

The fragrance of freshly baked plum cakes fill the usually mundane markets with a breath of fresh air that makes it irresistible for anyone to give it a miss. No matter how old you get, the fables of Santa Claus always brings hope to your heart. Watching home alone and A Christmas carol becomes a daily ritual till New Year comes. The childish desire to see what Santa gifted you stops you from sleeping at night.

Christmas passes and you immediately start wishing it never went away! The fond memories of Christmas celebration remain hidden away in your heart that make you nostalgic when anyone even remotely mentions Christmas.

Love Letter

Unknown - 08:45

hands-love-photography-Favim.com-423098

Dear Beloved,

Although it is obvious how you would be doing without the apple of your eye, I will still take the official way of starting the one-sided conversation with a faded belief that you are reading it somewhere. Before I start unfolding the deepest layers of my heart, I would definitely want to give you a statutory warning to keep a little indifference with the emotions as they might engulf you in the storms of romance, love and despair.
The first time that we met on that cold December evening in the busy street of Connaught Place, neither of us would have thought of the bumpy yet beautiful ride that we enjoyed over the years. The subtle way that you were trying to flirt in, was quite evident and I swear I controlled my laughter a couple of times. You seemed a regular boy next door with usual interests and apprehensions, don’t know what that one thing was, that caught my attention. A couple of formal meetings after that and then “good friends” like really good ones! And then, just like it happens in the novels, two friends discovered what more they can be to each other.
The story started off well. Long walks, long phone calls, romantic texts and the way you used to look into my eyes, I cannot keep myself from smiling when I think of it even today! The impact of the emotions was quite visible on our faces. Life was smiling at us.
But just like any other story, when we completely lost ourselves in each other, destiny knocked our doors and before we could open the doors, it sneaked in silently. The gestures changed, the care evaporated and there was just one thing that remained, Silence!
No wonder we could ever imagine ourselves in such a pathetic state where we were left with no hope. Happiness left us as if it never existed. There were more than a thousand of times that we fought and made obnoxious remarks at each other, but this, this was absolutely unbelievable. Today, I am writing to you my love, with a hope that you might come across this and know that I never meant to design it this way. Everything you gave me is still kept safe in my heart. From the tag of your T-shirt to the flowers that you sent last year, to the smiles that you brought on my face, every little thing lies inside the bottom drawer, which I open every time I want to meet you.
No wonder you do the same!

Yours Forever

Love!

Cheers all of you

Unknown - 23:19

I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes…..
Christmas is all around me, and so the feeling grows.

Do you believe in the magic of Christmas? Well, I Do! However bogged down you may feel due to your failures, you will absorb the confidence to fight again and feel happier with the Christmas air around you. Life is never meant to be a smooth road. It will bring forth its potholes at moments when you are not prepared to face the grim reality. But all these accidental situations give a meaning and direction to your life and out of all these dark incidents – you come out as a better person. The scale of Christmas celebration in European and American countries is bigger than India. You can send goodies to your friends using services like Christmas wines for Europe and USA and make sure that they are also in that happy mood of Christmas.

Cheers to life

Life is abundant and is the best thing to happen to all of us. Here are the 10 reasons to say Cheers to Life
• While raising a toast in Christmas and saying Cheers, a drink from one’s glass should be spilled to others glasses. It has a significance that nobody is going to poison you. This positive thinking is enough to lead a good life.
• The feeling to be someone in the crowd: who would see the clear sky of winter, who would hear the daffodils singing in joy, who would shout like a rowdy in rock shows – isn’t that enough to celebrate life.
• Thinking about the lost past would bring tears, thinking about the unsure future would bring fear, therefore, this is the day my friend to say Cheers to all and close all the gates of tear and fear.
• See yourself from the eyes of a beggar who manages to eat half a meal per day, you would suddenly understand the value of your life and how better you are living in.
• Have you ever thought of a cancer patient who is counting his/her days towards death? Well, that person is the one who believes in living for the moment as there is nothing to lose. You are fit and fine so get up and toast a jolly Cheers to life.
• It’s an age old saying that – you get exactly what you want and deserve which is far better than your desire. In case your desire is still not fulfilled, you have to want that desire more passionately. And for that raise another toast to yourself.
• This is the life that made you taste the luscious wines. Wine in blood makes you a wiser person. Who knows all your problems may wither away with another sip of it.
• You don’t need to be better than the rest. You just need to think, how you have improved from yesterday and that would keep you motivated towards success.
• Whatever you think, you bring that to life. Think negative and something wrong would hamper you. Therefore, stay calm and positive to say Cheers as every day is a new day.
• Last but not the least, always remember, no man ever achieved his desired success smoothly. They had to walk through many harsh pastures. And in the end of the journey, you would be a winner evaluating that you survived all through.
Life is all about celebration. Struggles would show the results once the right time comes and when the right time arrives, you are left flabbergasted. Cheers to this lovely life!

Fall in love all over again!

Unknown - 22:28

On a sultry July afternoon in New Delhi, 2008, in the IIMC canteen, a 24 year old boy falls for a girl over a debate on “Movies and lives are similar”. The spark in her brown eyes when she was shouting for the topic bringing in names of Ray, Hitchcock, Allen, Gopalakrishnan, etc., was enough to fall in love with her. What followed next, were more discussions between them and the venues kept on shuffling among CCD, Priya, IHC, DIlli Haat, etc. He proposed her in 2010 and married her shortly after that. Now after 7 years of togetherness – what they discuss is monthly bills, kid’s ailment, medicine, and healthy diet.
So, has your love story also followed the same life-graph? Meeting, liking, loving, marriage, and then what – a burden of responsibilities? Is there any void in your heart?

Kylee-Ann-Photography-Fall-Engagement-Session86

If the answer to these questions is YES, you really need a love dose again. We can play the cupid here with some amazing ideas to deck up your heart.

  1. Buy anniversary gifts online and personally go to his/her office with a prior appointment for a business deal faking your name.

  2.  Drag her out from the office during a lunch hour saying there is an urgent PTM in school and take her to your college canteen where you fell in love and propose her again. The ring as a gift for her should be ready in your pocket.

  3. When he returns after a busy schedule, lit up the whole house with scented candles. Open a new bottle of wine in your balcony and play a “Mughal-e-Azam”, “Manhattan”, “Rebecca”.

  4. Make your kid learn your wife’s favorite poem to be recited at the dinner table.

  5. Buy a gift for him like a nice aftershave and keep it in the washroom with a note attached “I still love you after 7 years”.

  6. On weekends, try to get up before her and make the morning coffee/tea and serve her with a flower.

  7. In case you still have that first love letter from him, write a reply to it after 7 years again and keep it in his laptop bag.

Surely, these tricks would work and you would again visit those lost love lanes which you vouched to walk upon together.

Let The Weekend Begin!

Have you been playing the poor corporate slave all these five days? Are you sure this the life you’ve always dreamt of? Keeping aside the loyalty for work, deep love for reverting to mails and giving a little more than a 100 percent, there is a lot more that you want to do. Unfortunately, a day comprise of only 24 hours which hardly leaves any scope for leisure.
But hey! No matter how dark it gets, your cloud too have a silver lining called WEEKEND!
It’s the best time to lend a little attention to yourself. Things that you really want to do, can be accomplished easily in these two lovely days.
Knowing and have already experienced the bliss that weekends bring, it is also important to remind ourselves that they not only arrive but leave too. And before we know it, Monday knocks!
Most people view Saturday and Sunday as a time to catch up on all the things they didn’t have time to do during the week: have fun, see loved ones, and do it all over again just five days later. This routine can leave you just as drained and exhausted on Monday morning as you felt on Friday afternoon. So, what’s the right thing that can lead to a fresh week ahead? We have the answer…

Stop sleeping late
Sleeping the morning away will rob you of the valuable time that you can do a lot with. You might get tempted to spend more time in bed on a weekend morning but getting up and enjoying a cup of coffee with your family would be a better option.

Stop working!
That’s right, actually give work a rest. Make a conscious decision at 5:00 on Friday to stop working and start relaxing. Imagine you’re transforming from the “work version” of yourself into the happy-go-lucky, relaxing “weekend version.” Relax, guilt-free!

Unplug from social media and smartphones
You might think that your Facebook and Twitter account needs attention and commenting, liking and following would refresh you, but being constantly connected spreads your attention thin, draining you of valuable energy.

Get out of your comfort zone
Monotony can make even the most relaxing weekend feel boring, and what else is more exhausting than that? Challenge yourself with new physical or intellectual activities. Make your weekends different every week. Set out and explore your city, there would be many places that you have still not visited.

Schedule some “nothing” time
Plan at least an hour entirely without plan. Do nothing, this may seem boring but it is healthy in a way to recharge and hit the reset button. Do not seek to be anywhere, do anything or be accountable to anyone. It’s going to be amazingly satisfying, trust me!

Fight the “Sunday blues”
Enjoying the Sunday evening is a little tough for everyone, as the week that lies ahead haunts you! Remember that you’re only wasting time if you are allowing the Sunday evening get stressed. Allow your Sundays to be enriching and relaxing, make them different, special and allow yourself to be yourself!

Gardening, landscaping, houseplants, flowers on the table, are lifestyles of maximum of people. You must surround yourself and your loved ones with the impact of colours, fragrance, textures and style, essential for your self-being also. Florists are fortunate to receive beautiful flowers every day. Even in the depth of winter and gloomy overcast days, they get flowers shipped to their shops, which brings in a lot of joy to them. They have an ecstatic experience of sharing the floral joy with the world. You too, can reward yourself and those around you for a job, accomplishment or any other awaited happiness in their lives. And at times, you don’t need a reason to make them feel special. You can send flowers to them just because you love them.

Let The Love Not Die!

Unknown - 00:39

Amidst all the could’ve and would’ve, most of us find ourselves clueless and confused. The feeling that brought us near someone suddenly seem too small in front of all the whys, hows and how comes! I am on the quest to find the answers to the questions that nobody usually asks. How does it become so convenient walking away from someone who we didn’t want to take a single step without? How come ‘missing someone’ takes place of ‘hello’ that once used to bring cheer to a boring day also. The answers might differ from person to person and from one relationship to another, but the sole reason behind every unwanted distance is our failure in putting efforts and expressing.

Falling out of interest and rifts doesn’t come overnight. They sneak in silently and bring all the difference. Had we been able to emote correctly, no relation would’ve ever suffered. From misunderstandings to small fights, we need to keep brushing off the dust from our thoughts so that it doesn’t get settled in our minds. Our constant effort to keep the bond strong and alive is all that matters. A small gesture of sending flowers and sweet gifts once in a while might save the day.
