Lose the puffy eyes
Mix eye cream, highlighter and concealer on the back of your hand. Apply under your eyes, on the brow bone and temples. This little potion brightens up the eyes and camouflages puffiness like a pro.

Re-shape your lips
Cover your lips with concealer and trace the outline with a nude lip pencil. Apply a tinted balm or neutral lipstick after.

Conceal and highlight
When applying concealer under the eyes, draw the product as an inverted triangle. Have the base under your eyes and the point towards your cheeks. Blend your product. It provides an illusion that functions like contouring, with your face looking more pulled together.

Banish pimples
Use a green concealer (called a corrector) with a brush or earbud over a pimple. It cancels out the redness. Then cover the zit with a concealer that matches your skin tone.

Brighten the eyes
Use a concealer that’s slightly lighter than your skin tone to line the inner ‘V’ of your eyes, the middle section of your eyelid and just below your brow bone. Blend away. This provides an illusion of brightness and works especially well when you haven’t slept well.

Get rid of dark circles
Use an orange or peach concealer. This corrects the bluish tinge of the dark circles and then top up with a concealer that matches your skin tone in the inverted triangle.

Know your colours
Remember this: yellow-toned concealer is to even out your skin; a green variant takes care of redness and pimples; and peach or orange works for dark circles.

Sharpen the brows
Use concealer to line the top and the bottom of your eye brows. Then, use a highlighter above the arch. Blend well. This provides instant contouring and makes your brows stronger and well defined.

Follow the order
This is the golden rule to live by – foundation first, concealer second. If you do it the other way around, you’ll wipe off all your concealer while blending your foundation.

Don’t run out, swap
If you’ve run out of concealer, don’t fret. Spot apply your foundation and wait for a couple of minutes till it dries out, then blend. Once dry, foundation becomes closer to the consistency of concealer and therefore, can be substituted.
