10 Fashion trends you need to adopt in 2016

Unknown - 21:59

Fashion keeps evolving and if there’s one thing that it surely goes through every couple of decades, it is recycling. Trends come and go and then they are back. It is no wonder then that the cute midi-skirt your mother wore in her twenties has made its way back to the fashion scene and Alia Bhatt is sporting a similar-ish one on screen.

In 2015, few trends made a comeback and few new ones were on the ramp. But if you aren’t one of the early adopters and haven’t gotten around to trying something new, do it in 2016. Here are 10 trends that you should know about.

Saree With An Overcoat

Quirky is not going anywhere. So mix it up with traditional wear and win hearts at all those  weddings.

Dungarees

They are cute, comfortable and they are back in vogue. Buy a pair, long or short, and it’ll be your best friend for a long time. It’s an investment.

Bodysuits

After the likes of Madonna and Beyonce, the current crop is rocking it too (read Katie Perry and Mylie Cyrus). Take your tips from Kylie Jenner and rock it in 2016!

Half Saree With Leggings

If you’re a badass who doesn’t give a damn, this trend is just for you. Go crazy with a one shoulder blouse.

Comic Prints

Mickey and Donald on your dress! Quoting Missy Elliot: Get your freak on!

Capes

Capes work in every season. Go sheer in summers and think tweed in winters. Also, get a embroidered one and pair it with the right long skirt and add that perfect traditional edge.

Fringe

Fringe is in. Tops, dresses and skirts. Go crazy with the fringe trend.

Shirt Dress

This one is a hit.  Simple, sleek, fancy or feminine, everything works.

Gingham

Plaid is already a lovely pattern. Gingham is the next pattern we need to add to our wardrobe in 2016. Go for skirts and shirts.

Culottes

White and cream are classic, and have been quite popular. But if you want to try something new, go leather, denim or crazy prints.
