Verdict: Crass in the name of music
Sajid-Wajid hit an all-time low with their latest catastrophic creation. The music of Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 is certainly all but not cool. In a desperate attempt to adorn a sex comedy with double meaning lyrics, the duo and lyricists come out in the open and kill that little thing called ‘music’.
Jawaani Le Doobi by ‘Baby Doll’ singer Kanika Kapoor is an item number, which does nothing that earlier item songs haven’t done. It objectifies and religiously abides by norms of Hindi film item songs. However Jawaani Le Doobi will find audiences at parties, pubs and weddings. The title track Kya Kool Hai Hum by Benny Dayal and Shivranjani Singh is unimpressive and leaves no trace in the memory. House Party does have certain youth appeal. The rustic voice of Sajid and Wajid coupled with techno music makes it a cool party track.
The merriment with tampered lyrics ends in Oh Boy. "Oh Boy you are my soft toy" and much more madcap lyrics is what this album is all about. The only good thing is its runtime. For ending the torment at 16:28 minutes, a bouquet along with all the brickbats to the makers of this.
