Nayantara’s Necklace is the story of Alka and Nayantara. It is the story of a middle-class aspirations and empty lives in big cities that invariably and expectantly binds people; even if they are polar opposites.
Both ladies are trapped in their own worlds. One lives in the web of her boring middle-class-housewife life. And the other in a fantasy of her past life that leaves her wishing for more. A life that is devoid of any attention leads us to do things that are desperate attempts to break the mundane happenings of the day. Alka finds herself in a similar spot and with the help of her friend, Nayantarao, tries to add some harmless thrill to her life, if only for a fleeting moment.
Konkona Sen and Tillotama Shome do an outstanding job. They play are true to their part and give us a gripping tale of mystery.
The short film will stun you with the twist at the end.
