Smokey eyes maybe de rigueur for the party season but this time around, why don’t you switch things up with a little inspiration from Alexander McQueen, Issey Miyake and Badgley Mischka who showcased molten metal lids at their Autumn/Winter 2014-15 runway shows. Think warmer shades of gold, copper and amber that are universally flattering to all skin tones. We present two easy looks that require minimum effort and delivers maximum impact, you’ll be thanking us later, promise.
Line Up:
Use an eye pencil or eyeliner to draw a thick stroke near the lash line of your lids. Blend a bit of copper eyeshadow pigment along the crease to create depth. Finish it off by applying multiple coats of volumising mascara. This look is perfect for a sundowner or for office to party drinks.
Golden Girl:
Start by applying gold shadow pigment all over your lids. With a gel liner or regular kajal pencil line your eyes below and near your lash line. At the outer corner of your eyes, apply a touch of black shadow that has a hint of shimmer and blend. Complete the look with lots of mascara.
